Claire Cowell grew up in Manchester, UK, and has lived and worked there her whole life. She has a BA in Modern Studies and trained as an Art and Design teacher. She also has qualifications in Recreational Arts for the Community, and Youth and Community Work. Claire is driven and motivated by a sense of social justice and a determination to enable people without the means to access the arts to take ownership and believe that a gallery is for them.
