Ivana Svobodová lives near Olomouc, Czech Republic, where she studied English and Dutch. She writes poems and short stories while working as a freelance translator and an English teacher. She enjoys hiking, travelling, and wood-carving – her most ambitious project has been a puppet armadillo made of limewood.
